Zayn Malik News: Singer's Mom Reveals What's Keeping Former 1D Star Busy These Days

Zayn Malik is choosing to remain single to place all of his attention on his two-year-old daughter Khai and co-parenting with ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid.

His mother, Trisha, revealed the singer's current relationship status in an interview with the Daily Mail after their 2021 split.

It's been a while since Zayn was in a public relationship; before his rumored fling with Selena Gomez, his last one was with Gigi.

A high-profile romance of Zayn's was with the one-time fiancée, Perrie Edwards. The pair were engaged for two years until he "cruelly" ended things with her via text.

Trisha expressed that Gigi and Perrie were "wonderful girls."

She further revealed that Zayn is dedicated to being a great co-parent for Khai instead of focusing on the dating scene.

"Zayn's energies are focused on being a good dad to Khai and his work, and that's not going to change any time soon," Trisha said.

"He's a wonderful, caring, loving father and devoted much time to his daughter. It's what gives him the most pleasure in life."

"He's a good-looking lad, and many women are interested in him, but none of that interests him now. He's not even in the dating game. It's all about Khai and then his work."

In an interview outside the opulent abode in Bradford acquired by the former One Direction star for Trisha and his dad Yasser after achieving success, she continued how Gigi and Zayn are practicing co-parenting very effectively. She even described both parents as exemplary people.

When Gigi was still with Zayn, she stopped by once to see Trisha and her husband Yaseer in Bradford but everything was kept confidential.

When Trisha met Gigi, she quickly found that the model had a warm personality and was incredibly down to earth. She still holds immense fondness for blonde beauty despite things not working out.

Furthermore, Trisha plans to fly out to Los Angeles next month to celebrate Khai's third birthday with Zayn, who lives there.

She commented on their strong connection, "I make sure to Facetime Khai a couple of times every week and it's such a joy having her in my life, even though she lives so far away. All our conversations have enabled her to identify me quickly."

"I'm looking forward to going to Los Angeles to celebrate her birthday, and it will be lovely to spend some time with my son and granddaughter."

"I miss them both, but Zayn has his own life now in the US and is enjoying himself as a dad and single man."
