Ne-Yo has been engaged twice, once with Monyetta Shaw-Carter, and recently he wed Crystal Renay Williams.
However, he separated from the two. Williams filed for divorce last year after accusing Ne-Yo of cheating with prostitutes.
What Caused Monyetta Shaw-Carter, Ne-Yo Split?
According to an interview with Monyetta Shaw-Carter on "Haus of Aaron," she candidly and surprisingly revealed the real reason she split up with Ne-Yo.
"We cheated together, if that makes sense," she revealed, holding up three fingers in the air, to symbolize it "We did things together. It's not cheating if you're involved with it ... and then it just wasn't enough [for him].
Apparently, Ne-Yo was very much into threesomes with other people, and Carter was up for that, at least to an extent.
"I was like, 'Well, no, I didn't sign up to do this every day.' It became a problem when he wanted that a lot," she added before revealing that they did it "maybe twice a year" until it became "too much" for her.
"I was like, 'If you want that, then you don't want me.' I tried to keep it cute and spicy, but it wasn't enough. But it is what it is," she went on to say.
As of this writing, NeYo has not yet responded to the claims that Carter has thrown at him. It is interesting to note that the couple broke up two months before their announced wedding in 2013. They got together in 2010 and share two children together ages 12 and 10 years old.

What Caused Crystal Smith, Ne-Yo Divorce?
In August 2022, Smith claimed in a now-deleted Instagram post that her husband at the time had been sharing his married life with "numerous women" who apparently sold their bodies to Ne-Yo through unprotected sex, accusing him of being involved with prostitutes. (via Hip Hollywood)
"To say I'm heartbroken and disgusted is an understatement. To ask me to stay and accept it is absolutely insane. The mentality of a narcissist. I will no longer lie to the public or pretend that this is something it isn't. I choose me, I choose my happiness and health and my respect," Smith said in the post.
Very recently, Ne-Yo received flak for lecturing parents who allow their children to choose their gender identity when they are still young.
