This year's Country Music Association Awards is full of surprises and snubs for singers like Lainey Wilson, Morgan Wallen, Zach Bryan, Carrie Underwood, and more.

According to reports, Wilson leads the CMA Awards with the most nominations yet again; she received nine nods, including album of the year for "Bell Bottom Country," song of the year for "Heart Like a Truck," as well as female vocalist of the year, music video of the year, and the highly coveted entertainer of the year, among others.

The rising country music star will have to go head to head with some of the most iconic and legendary country music stars for entertainer of the year, including Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton, Morgan Wallen, and Luke Combs.

Last year brought the singer a myrid of nominations; she won new artist of the year and female vocalist of the year during the 2022 CMA Awards.

While Wilson was gaining recognition for her hard work and dedication, other country singers were snubbed.

Morgan Wallen's Hit 'Last Night' Snubbed

Fans were shocked to find out that Wallen's chart-topping hit "Last Night" was not recognized at the CMA Awards this year-not a single nomination for the song that climbed Billboard's Songs of the Summer and Hot 100, and peaked at No. 1.

Wallen, however, was nominated for some of CMA's top awards: entertainer of the year, male vocalist of the year, and album of the year for "One Thing at a Time."

Zach Bryan Receives Meager Nominations

If fans were devastated with Wallen's snub, they will be even more so disappointed with Bryan's situation.

The singer managed to top the Billboard 200 with his newly released self-titled album, as well as the Billboard Hot 100 with his song "I Remember Everything" featuring Kacey Musgraves.

Despite all of that, and then some, the rising star was only nominated for a single award, the new artist of the year category.

Fans are hopeful that Bryan might see more nominations in the coming years, as he has proved that his music is worthy of music charts, and can receive mainstream success.

A full list of the nominees is available on the CMA Awards website. The award ceremony will air live on ABC on Nov. 8 at 8 p.m. ET, and will be hosted by Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning.
