Corey Taylor has been enduring pain over the past months amid Slipknot's intense physical demands from the members during shows.

Slipknot members keep on rocking on their music decades after they debuted in the band. They are known for their extreme movements on stage while playing instruments: headbanging, flipping, tumbling and jumping to make their songs more exciting.

However, the performances have taken a toll on Taylor's physical health as the singer started experiencing constant pain over the past months.

Corey Taylor's Health issue

Taylor spoke candidly about his physical ailments in his interview with Rock Feed, revealing that he might probably have five years left in the industry.

"People don't realize this, but when I walk, I'm almost in constant pain," he said. "It's the knees, it's my feet. I have a broken toe on this foot. I have gout across my feet. It gets up into my joints and shit. Yeah, it's tough. I'm not as nimble as I used to be."

Taylor reminded everyone that he is no longer 35, so he finds it hard to do the "crazy" things he used to do that require a high level of energy.

Slipknot's frontman also spoke about not feeling at home during travels in between the shows, noting that they are all exhausted because of the tiresome schedule while not having enough sleep and minimal time to eat.

Is Corey Taylor Retiring?

Taylor repeatedly shared his plans with Slipknot over the past few months after undergoing an emergency spinal surgery in 2016 due to a broken neck he was not aware of for years.

He told Rock Antenne that their high-caliber performances would reach their peak because of their ages.

"I've already thought about it - I've already thought about, maybe I've got another five years left of physically touring like this," the singer said. "I try to take care of myself. I work out when I can. The travel out here [in Europe] is exhausting; the food is horrible; so it makes it hard to do that."

According to Taylor, he would help Slipknot find someone to replace him and assist the band if ever he retired and left for good.

Still, he assured everyone he loves to play and perform, so he would stay for as long as he could.
