BLACKPINK fans are on edge because the KPOP girl group's fate is still undetermined; as the girls and YG Entertainment fail to come to an agreement regarding the contract renewal of the idols.

One of BLACKPINK's members, Lisa, has reportedly rejected about $40 million offer from the talent agency and record label; the rumored sum is unconfirmed and remains unfounded.

A representative from YG Entertainment has commented on the status of Lisa's contract renewal following numerous speculation including the alleged sum: "The matter of Lisa's contract renewals remains undecided. There has been no official confirmation regarding the recent rumors."

Lisa is not the only member whose contract seems to be up in the air, because as per some reports, the status of Jennie, Jisoo, and Rose's contracts are also unknown as of this writing.

BLACKPINK's contract with YG Entertainment ended in August, and the longer it is unresolved, the more fans and stockholders are beginning to worry.

According to reports, the company has suffered a 9% plunge following the alleged news of Lisa rejecting the offer.

BLACKPINK Contract Renewal Updates

The contract renewal challenges between Lisa and YG Entertainment have been going on for quite some time now.

Pinkvilla reports that it began back in July, just a month before the contract was set to expire.

YG Entertainment would not want to lose BLACKPINK as their artists, as they are one of the biggest KPOP acts in the generation, and have managed to penetrate the international market.

Their "Born Pink" world tour has raked in millions of dollars and has earned them milestones and broke several records.

BLACKPINK's albums are constantly best-sellers not just in South Korea, but internationally as well; even the members' solo music have charted in the Billboard Hot 100.

BLACKPINK's Future

BLACKPINK's future is still murky, and it is unsure what may happen to the girl group if they do not agree on the contract terms; whether they disband, switch companies, or even lose a member.

"YG can't afford all four girls anymore, I fear," a fan wrote.

"If Lisa leaves the group, BLACKPINK will no longer be relevant," a netizen wrote.

"She was tired carrying her group somehow," another alleged.

Meanwhile, some fans cheered the Thai-native on, and supported her decision. "They need to give her what she properly deserves because there is no BLACKPINK without Lisa."
