Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez officially filed for divorce on Sept. 18, 2023, starting what could possibly be either a messy divorce or a very private one.

Since the news of their split, people have been confused about what happened, whether was there a third party, or how Grande's co-star Ethan Slater came into the equation.

Ariana Grande, Dalton Gomez Divorce Timeline

In July 2023, the internet froze after news of Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez's split came about. The rather young marriage was upended as news of Grande's infidelity emerged, linking her to her co-star Jonathan Bailey as they were spotted in Wimbledon looking cozy at each other.

Apparently, the couple have separated since January 2023 and are at the cusp of legally ending their marriage at the time. Sources say that Gomez was not in favor of Grande moving into the United Kingdom from the United States for her dream role of Glinda in the "Wicked" movie.

Although it was not confirmed, many are confused about the timeline because Grande celebrated their second wedding anniversary on May 2023, which would debunk their alleged January separation.

Things got messy when it was revealed that it wasn't Jonathan Bailey the co-star that Grande was hanging out with - it was allegedly Tony-nominated actor Ethan Slater who was the rumored third party that may have posed an effect on the split.

Slater, who is married to Lilly Jay and shares a son with, was apparently Grande's new beau. Jay has spoken to various outlets about Grande's character.

"[Ariana's] the story really. Not a girl's girl. My family is just collateral damage," she spoke to Page Six while saying that she's just trying to be a "good mom" to her child. Slater and Jay filed for divorce in the latter weeks of July 2023.

More so, it was reported that Jay was "completely blindsided" by the affair that Slater and Grande had.
