After Hugh Jackman's divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness, the actor-singer masked his emotions by throwing himself into his acting projects to gain some sense of control, according to an expert.

To move on after ending a 27-year relationship, Hugh is reportedly turning his attention towards working on a new "Deadpool" movie with his friend Ryan Reynolds.

This third installment of "Deadpool" comes when the "Wolverine" star attempts to adjust to life without Deborra-Lee.

Louella Alderson, co-founder of the dating app So Syncd and a noted expert on relationships, recently gave an interview to The Mirror about Hugh Jackman's reaction to his separation from his wife of 27 years.

According to Louella, focusing on work as a coping mechanism is expected: "Hugh's response is widespread and understandable."

The dissolution of a relationship can be challenging to come to terms with, especially when the involvement has been long-term, like in Deb and Hugh's case.

Louelle suggested that work can benefit those struggling to cope with a difficult breakup. It is a way of providing distraction and allowing individuals to "keep their mind occupied."

Additionally, engaging in work can make people feel like they have some control over the situation and give them a sense of purpose during a hard time.

In her words, "Undoubtedly, Hugh Jackman is very fortunate to be able to take on a new role in the upcoming 'Deadpool' movie, which will give him something else to focus his energy on apart from his divorce."

"Of course, it goes without saying that for any celebrity, this situation can be pretty awkward and uncomfortable, having so many people privy to their matters."

In Louelle's opinion, staying away from feelings associated with a breakup is not an effective way of dealing with it healthily.

She believes avoiding such emotions can lead to negative repercussions later in life. Thus, according to her, people should try to process them rather than trying too hard to put them in their past.

Throughout the challenging time of Hugh Jackman's divorce, he was fortunate to have a great friend and ally in Ryan.

Louelle commented that having this kind of emotional backing is genuinely beneficial for those separating; it can encourage healing and permit individuals to process their feelings. Additionally, Louelle highlighted Ryan's good sense of humor as a significant source of comfort for the actor.

This undoubtedly proved to be an immense relief for Hugh during his split.

Louelle commented that Ryan's assistance indicated their solid relationship and demonstrated just how essential it is to be surrounded by caring people.

Both men and women recognize the significance of having a reliable network behind them. Hugh drew on Ryan during this time, highlighting his understanding of the rewards of a robust support system, which he was now taking advantage of in his hardship.
