Tory Lanez was sent to state prison earlier this month after being convicted and sentenced to 10 years in prison for being proven guilty of assaulting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020.
Now, Lanez, formally known as Daystar Peterson, seemed to be experiencing difficulty managing his life behind bars.
Tory Lanez Fearing His Life In Prison?
According to Page Six sources, Daystar Peterson aka Tory Lanez has been "fearful" of his life behind bars.
"Tory is scared for his life and safety in prison. He feels like he is an instant and direct target because of his celebrity status," the insider shared.
Peterson was transferred to North Kern State Prison in Delano, California last week and he has since been held in "administrative segregation" because of his high-profile status.
This meant that the rapper had been kept apart from other inmates.
The outlet also revealed that Peterson is being "escorted" to the showers where he bathes himself alone. If he wants to spend time in the yard to get some fresh air, he would then be placed alone in a fenced area.
"He stands in at 5-foot-3, so his size is definitely a setback," the source spilled."He is housed with real hardcore criminals, murderers. So he is really hoping that his lawyers will be able to continue to fight for his freedom while still maintaining his innocence. The whole thing is a mess."
Notably, TMZ reported earlier this month that an inmate of the same facility as Peterson has been "serving sentences for multiple killings" which was in connection to the death of his cellmate. The same inmate also attacked two staffers in 2020.

Tory Lanez First Meal In Prison
Per Radar Online, Tory Lanez had his inaugural meal inside the prison. He ate a dinner of chicken fajitas. But it is important to note that it's not like the one served in Tex-Mex restaurants in the country as it was only composed of plain old chicken strips with onion and bell peppers. He also ordered a side of pinto beans, green peas, tortilla chips, and Spanish rice on the side.
In his correction facility, the facility where he spent before being transferred to Kern - Peterson ate a whole-wheat tuna sandwich, a bag of chips, and sugar-free soda.
