Usher has been known to mount stripper poles on his performances, including his highly-raved Las Vegas Residency.

Sources suggest that he wants to incorporate that into his upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Usher Las Vegas Residency: Stripper Poles Possible?

According to Page Six sources, Usher is planning to put stripper poles on his upcoming Super Bowl Halftime show performance.

"Usher plans on having... pole dancers - dressed in a tasteful manner, of course as well as dancers on roller skates," the source revealed. "He is definitely keeping in mind that his younger fans will be watching."

While this has been something that Usher has been doing frequently, the problem is that the NFL has been "notoriously conservative."

Apparently, Usher wanted to "set himself apart" and "make history" as one of the greatest performers to hit the said stage.

"Beyoncé, Rihanna, Dr. Dre, Prince and Michael Jackson have all made memorable moments and now that Usher is taking the stage he wants to do something different, unforgettable and over-the-top," the source added.

The NFL Super Bowl Halftime show has been marred with controversy before because of its controversial moments. The most memorable one was Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake's wardrobe malfunction.

The incident sparked nationwide outrage from conservatives which led to Janet Jackson taking a brief hiatus shortly after.

It was announced earlier this week that the NFL has chosen Usher to headline the upcoming Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime performance in Paradise, Nevada.

"It's an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list," Usher said. "I can't wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they've seen from me before."

The NFL has been joyous of their choice for this year.

"Usher is an icon whose music has left an indelible mark on the cultural landscape throughout his career, we couldn't be more excited to have him headline this year's Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show," NFL Music Head Seth Dudowsky said in a statement."We look forward to working with Usher, Roc Nation and Apple Music to bring fans another Halftime Show for the history books."

Last year, Rihanna shocked the world with her return, coinciding with her bombshell announcement that she was pregnant with her second child, Riot.
