One Swiftie went popular on TikTok after they claimed that a certain line from Taylor Swift's song "Cruel Summer" sounded like Miley Cyrus.
By Thursday afternoon, TikTok creator Katie Greenberg (@katierg20) had received 42,000 likes and over 677,000 views on her video. Opinions on Greenberg's remark varied among viewers.
In the video, Greenberg emphasized the line, "He looks up grinning like a devil."
The Daily Dot contacted Swift and Cyrus agents through email, as well as Katie through a direct message on TikTok. Let's see if they will reply!
"I have quite literally ALWAYS thought this," user Polly (@pollyzxo) said.
However, some Swifties do not think this is a correct assumption.
"It's Taylor's signature growl... don't underestimate our Taylor," user Jimmy (@barefoot_alchemist) said.

"It sounds like Taylor screaming? Lol," user @remarkablyrach adds.
A confused viewer comments, "Like I know it's Taylor, but it's so Miley coded, I close my eyes and I only hear her," user Michelle Robinson (@theothermichellerobinson). Her comment received almost 3,000 likes.
"I'm still trying to get over it not being, 'he looks so pretty like a devil,'" so one step at a time here," user Autumn (@fall_london) said, referring to the common lyric mistake that Swiftie's make in the song Cruel Summer.
TIME Magazine refers to Swift's song "Cruel Summer" as a "sleeper hit" among fans and notes that it was made available as a radio single four years after it was first released on the album "Lover." Additionally, song rose to notoriety in the episodes of the Amazon Prime series "The Summer I Turned Pretty," which is well-known for featuring Swift's music.

Twitter Angelica Lazary (@angelicalazary), in an attempt to provide a novel hypothesis, asked, ""Isn't Miley Cyrus a ghost singer? I saw that somewhere."
According to Capital News, following Cyrus's album Endless Summer Vacation's release in March of this year, people began to conjecture that Miley was a ghost vocalist going by the name Clara Pierce.
