Madonna had a strange way of greeting Al Pacino when they first met.
Mary Gabriel penned a new biography, "Madonna: A Rebel Life," in which Madonna's former roommate Whitley Hill looked back at the singer's meeting with Pacino in the late 1970s. The pair were reportedly introduced to each other by Ed Setrakian at a restaurant in New York City.
What Did Madonna Do During Her First Meeting With Al Pacino?
Hill told the author of the newly released biography that Madonna unwrapped a stick of gum when Pacino sat with them and ate it slowly to "call attention to her mouth."
After Hill's father drove everyone home, the now-83-year-old "The Godfather Saga" actor reportedly told Setrakian that Madonna did something to him.
"That friend of your daughter's stuck her tongue in my ear," Pacino exclaimed. "When we were driving home, she leaned over and stuck her tongue in my ear!"
Setrakian revealed the story to his daughter during a phone call.
But even after the strange first encounter, the duo went on to work together in the film "Dick Tracy" in 1990.

Madonna Reportedly Hated Working With Pacino
In the behind-the-scenes book of the movie, which was published in 1990, the "Back That Up To The Beat" hitmaker reportedly hated working with the actor while he was portraying the role of Big Boy.
"I had nothing but contempt for Big Boy," she said. "And he would treat me like a bad little girl. He was always slapping me and spanking me. And in terms of being on the set, whenever Al put his prosthetics on, his suit, he was a gross pig."
Madonna reportedly complained about how Pacino always smacked her bottom and face as part of his portrayal.
However, she soon said that Pacino - when out of character - is "very gracious, and well-mannered, and gentlemanly, and sweet."
Pacino has been appearing in headlines over the past months after welcoming his fourth child with Noor Alfallah, who is 54 years his junior. The producer filed for physical custody of their child but has since agreed to settle privately.
"Al was stunned by the baby news and didn't believe he could ever get anyone pregnant," a source said. "He requested a paternity test." Alfallah, who has been with Pacino since 2022, gave birth this summer.
