Kanye West is being accused of being an "absentee father" online after his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, revealed that she had to hire a male nanny.

"It's really hard for me to be really strict and discipline a lot. My parents weren't strict at all and sometimes because I'm really busy," the reality star admitted during the latest episode of "The Kardashians."

"It would be amazing if I had a partner that would come in and tap me out and take over and handle it."

Kardashian then revealed that she had to resort to hiring a male nanny to fill in the spot and that they could have "male influence" in their lives, with West absent.

"I do think my household and even my family it's very female-dominated," she explained. "I recently hired a 'manny.' I really wanted a male around that was going to be picking him up and taking him to sports and I was scared out of my mind to tell their dad that."

Kanye West Reacts to Kim Kardashian Hiring a 'Manny'

According to reports, while the reality star slash model initially worried about the rapper's reaction towards a male nanny, she was relieved to find out that he took it well, noting that West "has been so nice to him."

"[The 'manny'] handed [Saint] the ball really easily, or something, and he's like, 'Don't do that, make him go get it himself. These are some of the rules that I would want,'" Kardashian continued, recalling what happened when she introduced West to the male nanny.

West and Kardashian divorced back in 2021 after several years of marriage. The two share four children together: North, Psalm, Chicago, and Saint.

Netizens Criticize Kanye West

The news was met with mixed reactions from netizens on X (formerly known as Twitter), with some siding with West, and others with Kardashian.

"A male nanny can never replace a 'father,'" a netizen wrote.

"So in other words... Kanye is an absentee father?"

"This isn't a bad thing....if she has to do this clearly the father isn't being present and a lot of kids feel abandoned not having a father figure."

There were some netizens who did not choose a side, and simply expressed their opinion on the news report.

"Y'all saying "let the father do it!1!1!1" as if the father isn't married living in a different city getting head in public. Stop being obtuse that father isn't fit to be a good influence."

"I wanna know why y'all mad at Kim for Kanye not fathering his children? He's a grown-a*s man if he wanted to be there for his kids he would be," another added.
