In a candid interview with Piers Morgan for his TalkTV British news show, Priscilla Presley broke down in tears while discussing her last moments with her daughter Lisa Marie Presley.

The 78-year-old Elvis Presley's ex-wife shared her heartbreaking belief that the 54-year-old was suicidal in the lead-up to her death.

The tears flowed freely from Priscilla as she spoke about Lisa Marie, for whom she said losing a daughter was "like a large part of your life is taken away."

Experiencing grief and loss herself, Priscilla has also had to say farewell to her mother and grandson, Ben. The latter was the second oldest child of Lisa Marie, who passed away in 2020 at 27.

In a teaser video from The Sun, Priscilla said, "Losing Ben was the hardest thing for her. He took his own life, and he was the love of her life, that child, she adored him."

She further said of her daughter, "[Lisa Marie] would do anything for him, anything. And we were in Memphis, sitting up in the suite, and she said, 'Mom, I don't know if I want to be here,' and I go, 'What are you talking about?' 'You know, my Ben,' and she would go on about Ben and how she is still grieving, and this was a couple of months before."

After posing the question, Piers was taken aback by Priscilla's response.

"I think so," the ex-wife of Elvis said. "She really, she was almost like, she wanted to go earlier, but the twins were still young, or too young, let's put it that way."

Days Before Lisa Marie Presley's Death

Two days before Lisa Marie's passing, Priscilla remembered their final moments together at the Golden Globes.

"I could tell something wasn't quite right," Priscilla said. "Her heels were high, which I had seen her wear countless times before, but this time, it seemed like it was becoming too much for her."

As such, Lisa Marie asked Jerry Schilling - someone whom Priscilla described as one of her best friends - to offer his support and help keep her steady on her feet. It was reportedly evident to her that Lisa Marie looked very frail.

Following the show, Lisa Marie proposed that Priscilla and she go to Chateau Marmont on Sunset Blvd. for a quick drink.

Despite her enthusiasm, however, the evening took an unexpected turn when Lisa Marie began to suffer unbearable abdominal pain.

Lisa Marie Presley's cause of death was due to a small bowel obstruction on January 12.

"We went and sat down, and she said, 'Mom, I have to go, my stomach hurts.' I go, 'Of course, are you OK?' She goes, 'Yes, yes, I just really have to go'. And I go, 'OK, we will get the cars now,' " Priscilla recounted.

"Then I hugged her, and she went her way, and I went mine, and that hug was the last hug I gave her."

It was a phone call Priscilla wished she had never received. Danny Keough, the ex-husband of Lisa Marie, phoned to inform her that his former wife was in hospital and it was an emergency. She rushed as quickly as possible to Lisa Marie's side - however, when she arrived, it was too late.
