Just four months before Lisa Marie Presley's death, emails revealed that she did not hold back threatening to publicly "go against" Priscilla Presley and award-winning director Sofia Coppola in regards to the making of a biopic, "Priscilla."

Nearly ten months after Lisa Marie's death on January 12, a surprise set of emails from the late singer to Sofia were leaked.

The emails had been sent back in September 2022.

Variety obtained emails showing Lisa Marie's disapproval of how her father - Elvis Presley - was represented in Sofia's movie.

In her words, she described the biopic's script as "shockingly vengeful and contemptuous" and requested that Sofia reworked it to paint a better image of The King.

Lisa Marie said in the email, "My father only comes across as a predator and manipulative."

"As his daughter, I don't read this and see any of my father in this character. I don't read this and see my mother's perspective of my father."

Lisa Marie also asked, "I read this and see your shockingly vengeful and contemptuous perspective, and I don't understand why?"

Elvis' daughter was determined to make her feelings known, and she let it be known that unless changes were made to a biopic about her father, she would use extreme measures.

She declared that she would need to become vocal regarding her dissent and take a stand against Sofia, even her own mother Priscilla, and any promotional campaigns of this film.

In an attempt to allay Lisa Marie Presley's fears, Sofia wrote back, assuring her that the "final film" would change her perspective.

She said she was paying homage to Elvis while ensuring his portrayal also had a degree of nuance and sensitivity.

The emails were sent just before the commencement of production on the "Priscilla" biopic.

Meanwhile, Priscilla Presley is an executive producer for the film and draws inspiration from her 1985 autobiography "Elvis and Me."

In the email to Sofia, concern for her mother and Elvis' surviving family was voiced by the daughter of Elvis. Lisa Marie mentioned that she was worried that "the outcome" of the biopic "will have" on Elvis's kin might not be seen properly by her mom.
