Who is Tate McRae?

McRae rose to prominence for joining "So You Think You Can Dance"; the gig landed her a record deal with RCA Records shortly afterward.

While "Greedy" is the song most associated with her, the singer is a hitmaker in her own right; she has released other hits like "One Day," "You Broke Me First," and "She's All I Wanna Be."

As per Billboard's staff, McRae might be seeing more success with her career, especially with the help of her hit viral song, and her upcoming album.

"The second I saw tube girl take over TikTok lip syncing 'Greedy,'" one wrote. "I knew Tate had found her hit. Every other video on the platform had "Greedy" in it."

"The success of "Greedy" has been the result of a coordinated promotional effort beginning with a TikTok snippet strategy and adding several show-stealing live performances along the way."

It would not be a huge surprise to see McRae's career take off even further, after all, she was featured on Forbes' 30 Under 30 list in 2021, and her "Too Young to Be Sad" album was the most streamed EP by a female artist on Spotify.
