Billy Joel announced that he will end his concert residency in Madison Square Garden in 2024.
However, as he continues to recall his amazing career in the recently opened Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame's career retrospective, "Billy Joel: My Life - A Piano Man's Journey," the famed music legend assured fans that he's not done performing just yet.
Billy Joel Tour Confirmed
With Billy Joel ending his record-setting concert residency in Madison Square Garden next year, he assured fans that the touring life is far from over.
Speaking to the crowd at the Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame exhibit of, "Billy Joel: My Life - A Piano Man's Journey," Joel had this to say, as quoted by Billboard:
"I'm not leaving [touring]. We'll still do the work - we're just not going to keep working in the same place. We're going to different places."
As he had fans cheering on the idea of a Billy Joel Tour next year or the coming years to come, Joel asked for his good pal Elton John.
"Where is Elton, by the way?" he came looking. "He's retiring [from live performances], but I think he'll show up somewhere again."
Notably, Elton John announced last year that he would be ending his touring career as he capped off his "Farewell Yellow Brick Road" tour last July 8, 2023, at the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.

Billy Joel Ending Madison Square Garden Residency
Speaking to People Magazine, Billy Joel reflected on ending his Madison Square Garden Residency that spanned a decade.
"After 10 years, we've done it. I mean, I didn't realize it would last 10 years," he said. "And I don't know how many shows it is, I'm sure somebody's keeping track of it somewhere, but I'm amazed that we went this far, and I'm honored."
