Tensions are reportedly high between rapper Jelly Roll and his wife, Bunnie XO, following the success of his old friend, Lainey Wilson.

According to those close to the pair, 43-year-old Bunnie  is devastated that her husband keeps the company of Lainey - leading many to suspect that after seven years of marriage, Jelly Roll may have a case of the seven-year itch.

Trouble In Paradise?

Since musical duo Lainey, 31, and Jelly, 38, released their hit single "Save Me," people have been speculating about their relationship status.

According to sources close to the pair, as reported by the National Enquirer, they insist they are just good friends.

"Lainey fell for Jelly at a time when he didn't have much - but now that both singers are famous in country music circles, it's like they're riding high on the same wave," remarked an acquaintance of theirs to the magazine.

Since "Save Me" shot to the top of the charts with Lainey and Jelly as its stars, tales about the duo have been rampant.

Sources close to them told the National Enquirer that they are over the moon for one another's accomplishments yet remain strictly platonic.

"Lainey was smitten with Jelly even back when he had almost nothing," a pal dished to the outlet.

"But now? They both have become country music superstars and savoring every moment."

Though Jelly Roll is glad for their newfound success together, hearsay reveals his enthusiasm may be too much for his wife, Bunnie.

Jelly Roll's Wife

"Jelly won't stop talking about Lainey around Bunnie," an informant said. "It has her questioning if there might be something more than friendship between them - she's determined to protect their marriage!"

To reassure his wife, Jelly is reportedly planning a ceremony to renew their vows in Las Vegas this August.

Having become aware of Bunnie's triggers, he has begun to tread more carefully when discussing Lainey not to upset her.

Jelly Roll and Lainey's Friendship

When Jelly and Lainey met, each was struggling to make ends meet. Jelly had served time, while Lainey had left Baskin, Louisiana, in 2011 with nothing but hopes of making it big in Nashville.

She lived huddled in a camper trailer without heat for three years-until life took an unexpected turn. In 2013, she was handed $100 to appear as an extra in the "Sunday Morning" music video by Jelly Roll and Uncle Kracker. It sparked a friendship that has grown ever since.

Though Lainey is romantically tied to the former NFL quarterback Devlin "Duck" Hodges, Bunnie worries that their close relationship might lead them to something more. Sources have reported that the singer's faithful companion does not trust her closeness with her husband.

Still, it's best to take this report with a grain of salt.
