Tate McRae dropped "Think Later" on Dec. 8, succeeding her two viral hit singles "Greedy" and "Exes," and it is making a beeline for the US music charts.

According to Pop Crave, the Canadian popstar's sophomore album is expected to debut atthe No. 6 spot on the US charts with over 62,000 units sold.

Netizens had mixed reactions with the news, as many scoffed at McRae's "Think Later," especially since the album is going up against Nicki Minaj's new album "Pink Friday 2."

"And this is who was supposed to block 'Pink Friday 2'?"

"But people were saying she's going to end Nicki, but anyways..."

Meanwhile, other netizens praised the singer and her album, "Her album is honestly doing amazing tbh. That's 81M streams. Combining streams and sales into one figure is starting to become super outdated [ in my opinion]."

Tate McRae in Her Breakout Year Thanks to 'Greedy'

McRae officially began her career in the music industry in 2022 with the release of "I Used to Think I Could Fly," however, her debut album did not receive much recognition-not like "Think Later," which was catapulted to the top, thanks to her viral hit song "Greedy."

"Release days are terrifying," the singer explained. "The songs are so close to you, you've had them in your car for a year or so, and suddenly everyone's listening. It stresses me out."

According to reports, McRae worked with Ryan Tedder-the same genius behind Beyonce's "Halo" and Adele's "Rumor Has It"-- for her new releases.

"I walked into the first session with Ryan with two playlists of sounds I wanted him to use, songs I liked, lyrics I'd written and loads of different song titles," she said about working on "Greedy."

"It's everything I've dreamed of for a very long time," she added.

Tate McRae's Rise to Stardom

According to Billboard, McRae began her journey to stardom at a young age. She began dancing, and this earned her a spot on the 2016 season of "So You Think You Can Dance," where she placed third.

"She was so young then, obviously, but so determined and really in some ways sort of moved like a competitive athlete, which makes a lot of sense, given her dance background," said RCA Coo John Flackenstein about McRae. "But still, even at that age, she was so clear on where she wanted to go and what was important to her."

Meanwhile, the "She's All I Wanna Be" singer also reflected on her own breakthrough in the music industry: "You evolve so much, and not only am I seeing it, but I'm documenting it in my music in real time."
