In 1959, when Priscilla Presley crossed paths with the legendary Elvis, their initial encounter left a profound impression on them.

Priscilla vividly remembers the bittersweet feeling of seeing Elvis's loneliness radiating from his aura.

In an interview published recently, Priscilla opened up about her connection with Elvis, addressing the typical reaction of shock and disbelief.

She emphasized that their bond was not romantic, especially considering their significant age difference when they first met. Priscilla recalled being only 14 years old while Elvis was already a 24-year-old.

In the dynamic of their relationship, Priscilla, who referred to herself as "the attentive one," conveyed that the singer known for "Unchained Melody" would openly share his deepest emotions with her.

"He was very, very lonely," the widow told Fox32.

In another revealing interview with Rolling Stone in September, Priscilla shed light on the intricate dynamics of their relationship.

Setting The Record Straight

Priscilla said their connection stemmed from her ability to listen and offer comfort truly.

She recounted how Elvis would confide in her, pouring his heart out in every way imaginable. For Priscilla, being there for him and providing solace formed the core of their bond.

"People think, 'Oh, it was sex,'" she said. "Not at all. I never had sex with him [at the time]."

In May 1967, Priscilla, 21 at the time, and Elvis, who was 32, celebrated their wedding. Just a year later, they welcomed their beloved daughter, Lisa Marie.

'Priscilla' Movie

Recently, the age difference between Priscilla and Elvis gained renewed attention with the release of Sofia Coppola's latest movie, "Priscilla."

According to insiders, the film's portrayal of the renowned "Can't Help Falling In Love" singer caused quite a stir among the Presley family.

Expressing their discontent, the late Lisa Marie, who tragically passed away earlier this year due to a heart attack, was especially disturbed by the depiction of her father.

Lisa Marie and Sofia were engaged in a recently surfaced private email exchange.

According to the email, "My father only comes across as a predator and manipulative," Lisa Marie reportedly wrote.

"As his daughter, I don't read this and see any of my father in this character. I don't read this and see my mother's perspective of my father. I read this and see your shockingly vengeful and contemptuous perspective, and I don't understand why?"

In a recent interview with the outlet, Priscilla expressed her contentment with the movie's outcome despite the initial worries surrounding it.

"You're nervous," Priscilla said. "This is your life, but I was happy with it. I thought [Coppola] did a great job, and especially [Cailee Spaeny who played Priscilla] was unbelievable. She honestly got me down to a T. I did have a couple of meetings with her and she said, 'Is there anything that you can tell me that I can go by?' and I said, 'Yes, just be sensitive, please.'"
