Fans strongly criticized Zac Efron, accusing him of displaying disrespect towards Kelly Clarkson, the host of her talk show.

Making an appearance on "The Kelly Clarkson Show", the 36-year-old actor, took the opportunity to discuss his latest film, "The Iron Claw."

A snippet from his interview was unveiled in a recent post on the show's Instagram account.

Joined by his co-stars Jeremy Allen White, 32, Harris Dickinson, 27, and Stanley Simons, Zac sported an eye-catching combination of a red sweater and brownish pants.

As the conversation turned towards his rise to fame, Zac was reluctant to discuss his iconic role in "High School Musical."

Kelly brought up the subject, saying, "Everyone on my crew is a High School Musical fan. And so, it's like 'American Idol.' You're never going to get away from it."

In a surprising revelation, Zac confessed, "I voted for you," as he smoothly transitioned the conversation toward his prestigious star on the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame.
