Bryan Tanaka, the ex-partner of Mariah Carey, has finally acknowledged their breakup following a deluge of divorce rumors.

Although Bryan was originally one of Mariah's backup dancers, rumors started to circulate last week that the two had split up.

Page Six was informed by a source that they had split up because she does not want children and he does.

This Tuesday, Bryan, 40, formally announced on Instagram that he and Mariah, 54, had called it quits on their seven-year romance.

He insisted that their breakup was "mutual" and "amicable," and he conveyed his "deep appreciation for the priceless time we've spent together."

"Dear friends and fans," he began his lengthy message: "With mixed emotions, I share this personal update regarding my amicable separation from Mariah Carey after seven extraordinary years together."

He insisted, "Our decision to embark on different paths is mutual, and as we navigate these separate journeys, we do so with profound respect and an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the invaluable time we've shared."

In a warm tribute to their years together, he added, "The memories we've created and the artistic collaborations are etched in my heart forever."

He went on: "Mariah"s dedication to her family and her commitment to her craft have inspired us during our shared journey. I want to express my love and appreciation for Mariah and her incredible children, whose warmth and kindness have enriched my life in ways words cannot capture."

In his concluding paragraph, he entreated the public. "During this sensitive time, I kindly ask for your understanding, privacy and respect."

Bryan continued, "The outpouring of love and support from fans has been a beacon of strength, and I am extremely grateful for the encouragement that continues to uplift me. I eagerly anticipate continuing my journey, knowing my passion for inspiration, dance, and the creative arts will resonate in the unfolding chapters."

"With #MuchLove and gratitude," the stunning professional dancer concluded his message of breakup, before adding his name.

When Mariah skipped Bryan, who had previously regularly accompanied her on her yearly Christmas trip to Aspen, the breakup rumors took a sharp turn last week.

Despite the breakup, Christmas is still proving to be Carey's best season.

"All I Want for Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey is the number one song on the Billboard Hot 100 for the second week in a row.

This is the song's 14th week overall at the top, having peaked in December 2019. The contemporary Yuletide standard is noteworthy since it marks Carey's third Hot 100 leader of at least 14 weeks, making her the first artist to have three No. 1s in the history of the chart.

She had previously held the top spot for 16 weeks in 1995-1996 with Boyz II Men's "One Sweet Day" and for 14 weeks in 2005 with "We Belong Together."

"Christmas" has spent five holiday seasons at the top of the Hot 100. It was first included on Carey's album Merry Christmas in November 1994.

With the growth of streaming and the increasing popularity of holiday music on playlists on streaming services, it debuted in the top 10 in December 2017 and has since led the charts for the holidays in 2019 (for three weeks), 2020 (two), 2021 (three), 2022 (four), and 2023 (two so far).

Meanwhile, José Feliciano's "Feliz Navidad" jumps from No. 12 to No. 9 to make a comeback to the Hot 100 top 10.
