"Joker: Folie a Deux" is one of the most-anticipated movies in 2024. Although it is based on the characters on the DC Comics, director Todd Phillip decided that the Oscar-winning movie deserved a musical sequel, now that Lady Gaga is on board.
Lady Gaga will be playing the deranged psychologist Harley Quinn, who fell in love with Joker, which will be played by Joaquin Phoenix.
'Joker: Folie a Deux' Update
In new photos uploaded by director Todd Phillips on Instagram, he treated everyone with a Christmas gift with the said set of photos.
The carousel was composed of only two images, one was a photo of Phoenix in what seemed to be a jail cell, while the other one showed Lady Gaga's Harley, looking endearingly at a made-up face of Phoenix's Joker.
"Wishing everyone a happy holiday and a beautiful new year. Oct 2024 #Joker2," Phillips captioned his post.
Fans are immediately stoked with the recent teaser, pushing the famed director to release the trailer and teaser already.
"Teaser in January and Trailer in Super Bowl, right?," a user asked.
"When is the first trailer going to be released??? I'm dying over here!!!!" another wrote.
Others couldn't help but be excited about the upcoming release.
"This is gonna be the best film of 2024, you made my dreams come true with casting my favorite artists as my favorite character. Forever thankful for that and The Hungover," one posted.
"Happy holidays Todd! Best wishes to you & your family! I'm so excited for 2024! We finally get to see me old mate Arthur back "on the telly" a user said.

According to Fandango, the Most Anticipated New Performances on the Big Screen included Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn in the upcoming sequel of "Joker," titled "Joker: Folie à Deux."
According to reports, the movie will be treated as a movie musical, which earned a lot of mixed reactions from moviegoers. However, many thought that Lady Gaga, who earned an Oscar nomination in "A Star Is Born" would definitely kick the role of Harley Quinn in "Joker" right out of the park.
