What do Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, and Mariah Carey have in common?

Aside from being some of the best-selling, chart-topping singer-songwriters in the music industry today, they also happen to be the only three female artists to surpass 90 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

Carey was recently inducted into the prestigious list after her holiday favorite hit "All I Want For Christmas is You" shattered the record for the most streams in a single day on the music streaming platform.

According to reports, the song got over 23 million streams on Spotify on Dec. 24, Christmas Eve, beating her previous record of 21 million on the same day.

This is hardly new for the "Butterfly" hitmaker, whose song has been a constant and classic choice for Christmas playlists since it was released.

"It's an amazing thing, and I'm very thankful. I can't believe this song I wrote so long ago when I first started," Carey said.

"Christmas songs take a while to permeate the culture, you know what I mean? It's an honor and honestly, it's all because of my fans.

"Even people who aren't necessarily my fans, they're just like, 'Whatever, we like that song.' It's a huge honor and I'm thankful for all of it. The billion streams, the diamond award, all of it."

"All I Want For Christmas is You" has consistently been gaining more and more streams since 2020.

Taylor Swift Becomes Spotify's Top Global Artist in 2023

2023 has been a year full of success for Swift, who has consistently been one of the most streamed artists on Spotify; however, thanks to her "The Eras" tour and her newly released re-recordings, her fame and influence has skyrocketed.

According to the Associated Press, Swift was crowned as this year's most-streamed artist as well as Spotify's Top Global Artist, ending Bad Bunny's three-year streak.

Swift dropped several albums this year, "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" and "1989 (Taylor's Version)," and on top of that, there has been continuous interest in her other releases like her 2022 album, "Midnights."

Ariana Grande's Streaming Success Without New Album

On the other hand, Grande has not released any new material in two years, since her 2020 album, "Positions."

The singer has been focused entirely on her acting career, as she was cast in the film adaptation of the Broadway musical, "Wicked."

Fans have just been streaming other releases again and again, namely the 2020 album, "Sweetener," Thank You Next," "Dangerous Woman," as well as a leaked song.

According to reports, an unknown user who goes by the name Adriana Venti uploaded a leaked song that was dubbed "Fantasize" by fans on Spotify.

A day later, though, the song was taken down.
