Kanye West is trying to reestablish his career in both music and fashion; he has an album coming out, and he just released and added a new shoe to his Yeezy line.

The "Gold Digger" rapper announced his latest release--the Yeezy Pods, which a report describes as "some sort of sock boot."

It comes in three sizes and is priced at $200 on the Yeezy website.

West's newly launched shoe was met with criticisms online: "Not only will no one be buying because we don't support Kanye but that thing is hideous, who would wear that?"

"Nobody is gonna buy that. Be serious."

"Oh he's desperate and needs money badly," another added.

"A sock for $200?"

"[I don't know] who allowed him to make this but NOBODY will be buying."

Kanye West Attempts to Redeem Himself

While West has yet to confirm himself, many assume that this is his way of attempting to redeem his image in the public eye, after getting criticized and receiving backlash for his anti-semitic rants.

He recently apologized to the Jewish community: "I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for any unintended outburst caused by my words or actions.

"It was not my intention to offend or demean, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused," he wrote in a post written in Hebrew.

The apology came after he went on an anti-semitic rant during the listening part of his upcoming album, the Associated Press reported.

The album is West's first comeback since being almost blacklisted after sharing a series of anti-semitic sentiments online; the new album is titled "Vultures," and it is a joint album with Ty Dolla $ign.

Kanye West Dropped From Adidas

West used to have a collaboration with Adidas for his Yeezy line, but he was dropped last year.

The leftover Yeezy stocks were released in May 2023 and once again in October, the sales, which reportedly generated $437 million in revenue, were donated.

The athletic brand portion of the proceeds went to the following organizations: Anti-Defamation League, the Philonise & Keeta Floyd Institute for Social Change, and Robert Kraft's Foundation to Combat Antisemitism.

West's troubles began after he got divorced from his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, which sort of led him to spiral out of control.

Many accuse him of being a bad example to his children with the reality star, North, Saint, Psalm, and Chicago.
