New evidence emerged one day after Keefe D, the main suspect in the Tupac Shakur murder case, was released on bail.

The Sun has acquired a newly discovered audio file that is now in the hands of prosecutors.

Green Light

It is claimed that this recording reveals Keefe D's, whose real name is Duane Davis, knowledge of a rumored "green light" directive, allegedly targeting individuals who were set to testify against him.

In the realm of street gangs, a signal referred to as the "green light" signifies a directive or clearance for a homicide.

The prosecuting district attorney and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are scrutinizing the recorded conversation, along with additional recordings that could potentially give rise to a distinct criminal matter.

Keefe's legal team vehemently challenges the validity of the claims, contending that the alleged "green light" is an ominous warning directed at him and his loved ones.

Per the outlet, Special Public Defender Robert Arroyo, making a compelling case, asserts that the notorious Mob Piru gang, commonly referred to as the Bloods, could have potentially received orders to carry out the unthinkable and bring harm upon Keefe and his family members.

Messy Trial

At the center of the forthcoming trial, where Keefe D's fate hangs in the balance, lies a controversial recording that holds immense importance as evidence.

Its revelation could potentially lead to a lifetime behind bars for Keefe, should he be proven guilty of masterminding Tupac Shakur's tragic death in 1996.

During the recent bail hearing, the emergence of the call triggered intense and heated debates between the defense and the prosecution within the courtroom.

What Was In That Recording?

In last year's audio recording from the Clark County Detention Center, a heated debate over the underlying significance of the comments made by Keefe D and his son unfolded.

The two-minute, 16-second clip captured a conversation between him and Duane Jr. which seemed scattered and disconnected.

Per the outlet, Duane Jr. starts the call with, "Call me in the morning I have got some s**t to tell you." The murder suspect then answers with, "About what?" before Duane Jr. says, "About some s-t that is going on."

Duane Jr. then said something unclear and went on to say, "They talking bout ... it is a green light on us ... our side."

Keefe D then answers, "Our side - there is a green light on our side?"

Unclear of what was being talked about, Duane Jr. responds with: "Yeah that is what he had told me." He continues, "He said ... We was raised in war, we don't give a f---."

Strong Evidence

During the court proceedings in Las Vegas District Court, Chief Deputy District Atty. Marc DiGiacomo put forth a compelling argument suggesting that the audio evidence strongly indicates the possibility of criminal activity.

According to the lawyer's claims, it appears that Keefe D managed, using acquaintances or relatives, to circulate a roster encompassing 39 individuals affiliated with gangs.

These individuals are believed to have potentially supplied information to law enforcement and could serve as crucial witnesses during the trial.

The court filing mentioned that Devonte Lee, a witness, received financial assistance from the FBI due to concerns about his safety.

Atty. Marc emphasized that although Keefe is not required to authorize it, other gang members can proceed with executing such an instruction.

"I never alleged that Mr. Davis issued a green light."

He added, "If that is true, then why is Mr. Davis' reaction to the phone call so excited and happy that a green light has been issued? And that we were born in a war and this is war and all those other things? Why is he so excited about that if him and his family members are about to be killed?"
