Madonna is apologizing after mistakenly greeting Toronto as Boston while she was on the "Celebration" tour stop in Canada.

The music icon has since received mixed reactions toward her performance at the "Celebration" tour, with some claiming that she might be too old to perform at that intensity already.

Madonna Apologizes For Toronto-Boston Debacle

According to NME, Madonna is apologizing to her fans after mistakenly greeting her Toronto crowd - referring to them as Boston.

Madonna notably played in Boston on January 8 and 9 and flew to the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada for two more shows on January 11 and 12.

"Are you guys mad at me cuz I said 'Hello, Boston!'?" she later said, Stereogum reported. "I'm sorry. What kind of fucked up shit is that? That would be like if you guys were saying, 'Hey, Lady Gaga's playing tonight!'"

According to Madonna, she "wouldn't like that," before claiming that she had nothing against Lady Gaga.

"Love her. I do! I love anyone shorter than me," she added.

NME also noted that on the same night, Madonna debuted her 1998 hit song "Frozen" on her tour.

Madonna Receives Ageist Backlash

Meanwhile, Madonna has been on the receiving end of backlash after people noticed that she might be too old to perform.

"Who is buying these concert tickets, seriously? I would rather be electrocuted for 2 hours, than have to sit through this," a user asked on Twitter/X.

"Who wants to see a woman in her sixties do this? She needs to come to grips with her age," another pointed out.

"If I wanted to pay a TON of money to see a 60+ year old woman dance in her underwear, I'd ask my wife. And she would say "Hell no'," someone said.

"Someone needs to tell Grandma to just stop it," one person commented.

Meanwhile, Chuck D, a collaborator of Madonna in the past, has defended the music icon in honor.

"At 63 i know i can bike better than i ever did and Pilates aint easy but i give it to @Madonna for pushing the bars ... @FlavorFlav is taking Pilates too and hes 64 . So ageism sometimes gets like racism both ways if you let it. For anyone over 50 the rule is either you do the songs or the songs do you. @Madonna has some hard songs to perform in her catalogue," he tweeted.
