• A$AP Rocky Releases New Track with Pharrell and Video for 'JD' [LISTEN]

    It's been a busy year for A$AP Rocky so far. The Harlem rapper released the remix to Drake's "Wu-Tang Forever" and the collaborative A$AP Mob track, "Yamborghini High," not too long ago. The crew also got together to pay tribute to the late A$AP Yams on January 18th with a concert at Terminal 5. Since then, the rapper has released the new track, "Hear Me," featuring Pharrell and the video for "JD."

    Pacific Sunwear picked the worst possible time to blatantly advertise merchandise from the A$AP Mob (home to A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg and others) that depicts an upside-down American flag. The store came under fire for carrying the product both in its stores and online when an aggrieved shopper posted a photo of a store mannequin wearing the offending piece of apparel. The black shirt features the flag upside-down on the front, with other logos on the sleeves.

    A$AP Mob's motto, "Love Over Riches and Death" -- "L.O.R.D." for short -- was supposed to drive their collaborative album, which has now been shelved. The phrase lives on, though, in A$AP Twelvyy's latest single "LORD." The track features production from Buda Da Future and GrandMuzik on the production side and lyrically explores the struggle that comes with having fame and riches.

    The members of A$AP Mob are being sued for a stage diving incident from 2013. According to TMZ, Tammy Nguyen suffered some injuries when A$AP Ferg jumped into the VIP section at the Fonda Theater in Hollywood a few years ago. Nguyen limped out of the venue and said that security did not help her.

    Last week, a drug overdose was revealed to have been the cause of A$AP Yam's untimely death. The A$AP Mob founder overdosed on an acute mixed drug intoxication with both opiates and benzodiazepine were found in his system. The death was ruled an accident. Yams was found unresponsive in his Brooklyn apartment on the morning of January 18 and was taken to Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, where he was pronounced dead. Now his friend and colleague A$AP Rocky is opening up about the news.

    Steven "A$AP Yams" Rodriguez, mastermind behind New York's A$AP Mob passed away earlier this year, and now and accidental drug overdose has been revealed as the cause of his death, according to New York City's chief medical examiner (via The New York Times). The 26-year-old, who is helped A$AP Rocky rise to fame, overdosed on an acute mixed drug intoxication. Both opiates and benzodiazepine were found in his system. The death was ruled an accident.
