When it comes to world touring musicians, their peculiarities come out even more with their habits on the road. No place better personifies this then an artist's rider request and Future Music Festival, the massive Australian and Asian multi-city festival, shared 10 of the most bizarre rider requests they have ever gotten. They range from the environmentally friendly to new outfits to bisexual goldfish. It is all too strange.

  • Preview David Guetta, Afrojack, Nicki Minaj's Upcoming Single 'Hey Mama' [LISTEN]

With just eight days until the release of his sixth artist album "Listen," David Guetta has unveiled one of the most high-profile collaborations on the album with Afrojack and Nicki Minaj. The 1 minute 30 second preview for "Hey Mama" gives us a taste of what we should expect from the three frequent collaborators, via "Capital FM." David Guetta and Nicki Minaj have had success on previous Guetta albums with tracks like "Turn Me On" and "Where Them Girls At" alongside Flo Rida. Though Afrojack was not listed in the initial batch of collaborators on the album tracklist, it is not surprising to see his name on this album with how strong a relationship he has with David Guetta. "Hey Mama" has the pitched up dutch electro sound you expect from Afrojack, but catered to a pop audience that allows Nicki Minaj's vocals to flow over it and should make this one another big hit for Guetta. He recently spoke to "Rolling Stone" about the making of the album and the process of writing the songs.
  • DJMag's Top 10 DJ's of The Past Five Years: Music Times Calculates for Dutch Domination (and Hardwell Doesn't Even Appear!)

Just to further up the controversy, Music Times asks not who was the best DJ in the last year, but who was was the best DJ of the last five years? Our formula wasn't too complicated...we just averaged the rankings of everyone featured on the DJMag Top 100 list in the last five years. That does cause some major issues for some contestants however. Hardwell has been no. 1 for the last two years but he didn't place during 2010, suggesting a rank of at leads 101, and thereby making his mean ranking skyrocket. The name of our game is consistency.

It's a big week for electronic dance music news. For one, the highly hyped DJMag Top 100 DJs list just hit the web this weekend. Consider it something like a SWSW exclusively for electronic music performers, with more than 2,200 acts hitting the largest city in the Netherlands for a swinging five-say stretch. Spotify and its Insights blog took the event into consideration to see just what those wily Dutch were listening to in the lead-up to the event.

  • Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Tiësto and Avicii Top Forbes Highest-Paid EDM Performers List

Music Times caught Calvin Harris at Lollapalooza during the first weekend of August and noted that it seemed the DJ had invested his earning from last year-$46 million-into his elaborate and bright stage set. If our hypothesis that the size of his set directly reflects his earnings, next year's concerts will be off the charts: Harris topped Forbes' list of the highest earning electronic musicians for the second straight year, bringing a whopping $66 million over the last 12 months.
