  • Rockstar Mayhem Festival 2015 Rumors: Leaked Poster Suggests Slayer, King Diamond, More on Lineup

The official lineup of the annual Rockstar Mayhem Festival is set to be officially released during April but it seems a fairly realistic looking tour poster has been leaked onto the internet. If it's to be believed, Slayer will be the headlining act, with metal icon King Diamond opening along with Hellyeah and The Devil Wears Prada on the main stage.
  • Ariana Grande Ties Sales Mark with 'My Everything' and Brad Paisley Comes up Just Short on Billboard 200

Last week was one of epic failure for album sales, marking the first time ever in the Nielsen Soundscan era where less than 4 million records were sold. This week marked a reverse in fortune as sales climbed back up to 4.2 million according to Billboard. We'll have to see if it can last without huge debuts.
  • Avenged Sevenfold and Korn headlining Mayhem Festival; Suicide Silence hitting the road as well

Mayhem Festival, one of the biggest touring rock festivals in North America, has continued to grow as it enters its seventh year. The event released its official lineup on Monday, as well as all of the locales where the tour will be stopping. Avenged Sevenfold and Korn are listed as the headliners, and nearly 20 other bands will perform across a total of four stages.

In what Loudwire called one of the "closest battles" in their annual Loudwire Music Awards, Skillet won with 31.
  • Guns 'n' Roses, Avenged Sevenfold, Kid Rock headlining Columbus's Rock on The Range

Music festival announcement season has swung into full gear, and after looking at a couple of lineups, you get the idea for the rest. Many kudos to the many worthy alternative and indie rock bands touring the festival circuit this summer, but few festivals include anything representing the harder-rocking/metal side of music (we're stoked for Deafheaven at Governor's Ball). Rock on The Range, based in Columbus, OH, is the place to be for those into "weight room rock." The show's eighth incarnation brings headliners again.
  • Download Festival announces Avenged Sevenfold and Rob Zombie as first round of headliners

The first headliners for next year's Download Festival have been announced: Avenged Sevenfold and Rob Zombie. Download, held every year in Donington Park, England, is one of the largest rock-oriented music festivals in the world (we're talking heavy rock here...not the same scene as the average alt-rock based American festival). It's a three day affair, but A7X and Zombie have been the only acts announced thus far.
  • Album Sales Roundup: Avenged Sevenfold Debuts on Top, Luke Bryan Hangs Around, and Justin Timberlake Back in Top 10 After VMA Sales Boost

Avenged Sevenfold became the band to knock Luke Bryan from the top spot on the Billboard 200 after his "Crash My Party" led album sales during its first two weeks. Two artists in this week's top 10 are making reappearances thanks to publicity generated by their performances at the MTV Video Music Awards. Check out what happened last week in the Top 10 Albums
  • Avenged Sevenfold Graduates from Metal to Heavy Metal (Finally) on 'Hail To The King' [REVIEW]

Avenged Sevenfold has awkwardly held a middle-ground between its old melodic thrash, and its new heavy metal approach. They finally commit, thankfully, on "Hail To The King."
