  • Chvrches Share Animated Sci-Fi Music Video For "Under The Tide" [WATCH]

    Scottish synthpop trio Chvrches have shared the music video for their latest single “Under The Tide,” which you can check out below. The Sing J. Lee-directed video uses animation and psychedelic visuals to tell some sort of sci-fi story while synth-player Martin Doherty sings along the track. The band’s other two members, Lauren Mayberry and Iain Cook, show up as well towards the video’s end.

    Two weeks ago, British synthpop singer Charli XCX shared her punky new single "London Queen," and today she has premiered the song's lyric video over at "Nylon." The video's cheap, colorful animation is reminiscent of those old point-and-click computer games from the late 1990s like "Backyard Baseball," but it fits in well with the song's hyperactive melody. The lyrics are pretty confusing, though, so if someone can explain what it means to "feel like J.F.K." for "driving on the wrong side of the road," it would be greatly appreciated.

    Back in September, it was reported that Lorde and Kanye West were working on some new music together, and today we have learned why. "Consequence of Sound" reports that Kanye has provided a remix of Lorde's "Yellow Flicker Beat" for the soundtrack to the upcoming "Hunger Games" movie, which Lorde has curated. Other artists appearing on the soundtrack include Charli XCX, Haim, Bat for Lashes, Pusha T, Q-Tip and CHVRCHES.

    Jingle Ball 2014 has announced the lineups for two of its first two concerts, according to Billboard. Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande and 5SOS lead the L.A. lineup, which will take place on Dec. 5. The will also be joined by Pharrell Williams, Sam Smith, Iggy Azalea, Meghan Trainor, Charli XCX, Jessie J, Rita Ora, Becky G, Rixton, Shawn Mendes and Kiesza.
