• Electric Forest Expanding To Two Weekends In 2017

    Electric Forest is officially expanding to two weekends for 2017. Despite its large size, the festival is able to still maintain an intimate vibe to the whole event. In an effort to keep the person-to-person feel, festival organizers decided to add the two weekends, which in effect cuts capacity by 10 percent.

  • Electric Forest Addresses Rumors of Beetle Infestation in Sherwood Forest

    Festivals normally are subject to all sorts of outside pressures like potential low ticket sales, trouble with the law or bad weather, but Michigan-based EDM festival, Electric Forest, is fighting a different battle with Mother Nature. Taking place on the Double JJ Resort in Rothbury, Michigan, the festival grounds are situated in a large wooded area, known as Sherwood Forest. According to a reddit poster, the forest is under attack by the Red Pine Beetle and organizers had contacted local foresters in attempt to quell the infestation, but Electric Forest wants fans to know their favorite forest is healthy for now.

It could be that they are just too excited and cannot hold it in anymore and just need to tell their fans, or it is just an honest mistake, but either way, once it is out there for any amount of time, somebody is going to see it. As everyone knows, the Internet is forever. Skrillex did just that yesterday, Feb. 10, on Twitter when he blurted out that he was going to headline Insomniac's Electric Forest in 2015.
