Garth Brooks

  • Beyoncé, Garth Brooks, One Direction top Billboard 200 amidst no significant releases

The year is coming to a close, and that means you shouldn't expect too many new releases coming down the pipe. This week's Top 10 of the Billboard 200 didn't have any new entries, so expect to see some familiar names.
  • Beyoncé zeitgeist leads to top of Billboard 200; Garth Brooks, Kelly Clarkson, R. Kelly place

Beyoncé's new album was totally unannounced, plus it came out on Thursday versus the traditional Tuesday release, plus it was only available on iTunes, so there's no way that it could have made a big Billboard 200 impact, right? HA.
  • Garth Brooks' Tour will be over a three year span, country star announces

Garth Brooks may be leading us on with this whole "Oh-shoot-I-just-let-another-integral-part-of-my-2014-plans-slip-on-national-television" shenanigan. The country star let another piece of the puzzle "slip" during his tour of the talk show circuit when he was on The Talk. The good news is that one part of the announcement process isn't a charade: the fact that a tour is totally going to happen.
  • Garth Brooks tops Billboard 200 after tour announcement, One Direction stays strong, Britney Spears debuts weak

Album sales were down from last week, but last week's totals included Black Friday, so it was bound to happen. That doesn't mean Black Friday's stars were ready to give up their spots on the Top 10 however.
  • Garth Brooks confirms 2014 world tour on 'Good Morning America'

Finally, after months of beating around the bush and playing with fans' minds, Garth Brooks has come out with it: He'll be going on a world tour beginning in 2014. The announcement came while Brooks was appearing on Good Morning America in support of his new compilation Blame It On My Roots. Although we have no evidence to support his claims, if we can't take Brooks' word for what it's worth, what can we?
  • One Direction wins Black Friday album sales race, Eminem and Garth Brooks place high, Katy Perry returns

We've been real downers for the last couple months with regards to album sales. If you haven't read the news, music sales are down across nearly every format (aside from vinyl), and this has reflected in new releases too, even with some of the biggest stars. What the industry needed was a good Black Friday to boost sales. And boost did it ever.
  • Garth Brooks announces concert dates with original band; Is a full tour coming soon?

Brooks has planned some shows for 2014. Unfortunately, at least for the time being, they only consist of a few more gigs at the Wynn. The gig will consist of four shows on January 3-4, titled "Garth Brooks: The Man, His Band and His Music." The difference between these shows and the residency he just finished up is that now he'll have his original band backing him.
  • Garth Brooks' 'Blame It On My Roots' compilation features country performer covering multiple genres across four discs

Garth Brooks has a busy 2014 planned, or at least country fans hope he does. A number of mysterious messages on the country star's website, including the recent post "????," have sent fanatics into a wave of hypothesis and project about an upcoming tour from the performer. Before you can spend your money on hypothetical concert tickets, Brooks is giving you the option of spending your money on a factual compilation of cover songs.
  • Garth Brooks' final Vegas show to broadcast on CBS

Unless you're among a lucky few, you probably haven't seen Garth Brooks perform live in recent years. Although the country icon has stuck his head out to play charity events, including a fundraiser for Oklahoma tornado relief this summer, Brooks has stuck mainly to playing gigs at the Wynn Las Vegas for the last three years. Even if you haven't been able to get out to Nevada to see Brooks, fans will get the chance to check out one of his shows next month.
  • Garth Brooks Points to a Possible Tour in 2013? Music Times Explains All The Signs

There are a ton of reasons why Garth Brooks fans have reason to believe that the country legend will go on tour during 2014. It's been more than 12 years since he's toured (although he did do a stand in Las Vegas), but all the signs are pointing to Brooks hitting the road next year.
