• 5 NFL Stars Gone Country: Terry Bradshaw, Troy Aikman and More

Peyton Manning's Children's Hospital fundraiser took a fun turn last weekend when the Denver Broncos quarterback took the stage with headliner Dierks Bentley to perform a cover of Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues." Manning's musical dynamism was about as weak as you might expect, but as it was strictly for-the-kids, we'd be jerks to mock him for it. He wasn't the first NFL player to take a crack at country music however...in fact, players such as Hall of Famers Terry Bradshaw and Troy Aikman have done the deed in a more professional setting. Here are five country releases from acts that got their start on the gridiron.
  • 7 Oscar Performances Ranked: From Lady Gaga to John Legend, Rita Ora and More...What Performance Comes in at No. 1?

'Hawkman,' 'The Grand Budapest Hotel,' politically-charged speeches and general public debate over Neil Patrick Harris's role as a host are on the tips of everyone's tongues, but it's fair to say that the music performances stole a fair amount of attention at film's biggest night. Several of the performances got Twitter going like nothing else. We're going to risk our necks and rank the night's seven live performances, from John Legend to Lady Gaga.
  • Idina Menzel Jokingly Botches John Travolta's Name at the Oscars

One year ago, John Travolta absolutely botched Idina Menzel's name while introducing her to the stage at the Oscars. Last night, Feb. 22, the "Let It Go" singer got back at him, introducing the actor as "Glom Gazingo," 'Billboard' noted. The joke name was about as accurate as Travolta's infamous Adele Dazeem pronunciation. The audience had a nice laugh before the pair embraced and Travolta awkwardly touched Menzel's face -- see below.
  • Lady Gaga, Tegan and Sara, Tim McGraw Share Pre-Oscar Tweets

  • Grammys 2015 Best Country Duo/Group Performance, Who Should & Will Win

Bringing in featured talent for a country tune has increased in popularity over the past few years. This year's nominees in the Best Country Duo/Group Performance category are split between solid solo acts calling in their buddies and groups that conquered the charts with no assistance. Keith Urban and Eric Church collaborated on "Raise 'Em Up" while Tim McGraw brought in his wife, Faith Hill, for "Meanwhile Back at Mama's." Then there's the power duo of Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood on "Somethin' Bad." But the two big contenders here are Little Big Town and The Band Perry.

So, how to decide who deserves to win?
  • Tim McGraw to Sing Glen Campbell's 'I'm Not Gonna Miss You' at Academy Awards

Glen Campbell continues to battle his Alzheimer's disease, but that doesn't mean he won't be represented properly at the 87th Academy Awards in February. Tim McGraw will sing Campbell's final single, "I'm Not Gonna Miss You," which is nominated for Best Original Song. The Rhinestone Cowboy wrote and recorded the tune for a documentary titled Glen Campbell...I'll Be Me that highlights his final tour in the wake of an unfortunate diagnosis.

  • Ranking The 2015 Academy Awards' Best Original Song Nominees

This morning, the nominees for the 87th Annual Academy Awards were revealed, including the nominees for Best Original Song. Though there were plenty of songs that were widely assumed to be shoo-ins, such as Lana Del Rey's "Big Eyes" and Lorde's "Yellow Flicker Beat," they were passed over for some pretty left-field choices (most surprisingly, only one of the songs on this list was also nominated for a Golden Globe). Here are the five Academy Award nominees for Best Original Song ranked, from worst to best.
