Music lovers planning on attending Summerfest in Milwaukee were so unhappy to see Paris Hilton on the bill that they launched a petition to get the amateur DJ taken off the roster. More than 4,000 people have supported the effort, calling Hilton's involvement "a middle finger to anyone who paid to go to this festival." Some of the more established acts for the event include Kings of Leon, Zac Brown Band and Kendrick Lamar, among many others. -

Kendrick Lamar's much-hyped To Pimp A Butterfly track "King Kunta" will reportedly be his next radio single. Now it appears a video is on the way as well. Footage has surfaced online of Lamar and a large crowd gathered at the Compton Swap Meet for a video shoot. Lamar is shown performing on top of the building and in the parking lot as a mob of fans dance around to the g-funk anthem. -

The album went on to sell 363,000 equivalent copies, including single downloads and streams-breaking Spotify records in the process- on its way to the top. That was also the second largest debut of the year—behind Drake—giving hip-hop the two biggest albums of the year so far. -

Kendrick Lamar and Schoolboy Q will perform together at the Marcus Amphitheater along with Zac Brown Band, Linkin Park and Kings of Leon. More artists will be announced for the festival, which takes place June 24 to 28 and June 30 to July 5 in Milwaukee. -

Montreal's Osheaga Festival has announced its 2015 lineup, and it is a big one. Celebrating its 10-year anniversary, the festival will welcome headlining acts Florence + The Machine, Kendrick Lamar, The Black Keys, Weezer, Alt-J, Of Monsters and Men, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Nas, Kygo, Interpol and others to Parc Jean-Drapeau, east of downtown Montreal on the St. Lawrence River. The three-day festival will host a wide variety of different acts from hip-hop to rock to indie and EDM with more than 100 acts announced to perform. -

Kendrick Lamar's 'To Pimp a Butterfly' has gained a lot of attention and praise. Proven to have international success, Lamar has now scored his first No. 1 spot on the U.K. and Australian charts. According to 'Billboard,' 'To Pimp a Butterfly' finished just ahead of Sam Smith's 'In the Lonely Hour' on the U.K. charts, selling 572 more copies than Smith's. The "King Kunta" rapper's previous album 'Good Kid M.A.A.D City' reached No. 16 in 2012. -

Kendrick Lamar's "King Kunta" is as strongly black as anything else on his smash new album, To Pimp A Butterfly: The title itself is a reference to a character from the classic television series Roots, and it features samples from James Brown's "The Payback" and Ahmad's "We Want The Funk." That makes it all the more ironic and humorous when one amused listener mashed-it up with the theme from Seinfeld.
