Last October, Ty Dolla $ign first broke news of his Free TC album, and now the project, slated to feature Nicki Minaj and Kendrick Lamar, finally has a June 2 release date.

The album, tentatively named for Ty's younger brother who is currently serving a life sentence in prison for a murder both brothers insist he did not commit, will serve as the singer/rapper/songwriter's debut album.

"It's for a purpose," he said. "He's locked up for something that he didn't do. It's many people out here that get injustice, as you've seen Mike Brown, Trayvon Martin, everything that's happening on the news right now. It has a purpose. It's gonna be the biggest album of 2015."

Ty just released a video for his single "Drop That Kitty" featuring Charli XCX and Tinashe, which you can check out below.

As previously reported by Rap-Up, Free TC was originally slated for a March or April release.

The "Paranoid" crooner is reportedly pulling out all the stops for his debut with guest spots by Jagged Edge, YG, Wiz Khalifa and R. Kelly, who appears on a record called "Actress."

Kendrick Lamar is also reported to make an appearance on a Los Angeles response for Jay Z and Alicia Keys's New York tribute "Empire State of Mind."

Last month, Ty Dolla $ign and Wiz Khalifa released their joint EP Talk About It in the Morning, which features the previously released single "Post Up," along with a guest spot by The BMMB.

Ty released his $ign Language mixtape featuring T.I., Rick Ross, Big Sean, French Montana, Yo Gotti, Mila J and more last August.
