• Luke Bryan's Near Face Plant Moment

Luke Bryan was rockin the crowd on Monday night in Greensboro, North Carolina. During a kickin' guitar solo, he strutted out the catwalk to the center stage, returned back to the main stage and then headed back to center to rock the crowds more towards the back. And then came the slip and the near face plant!
  • Show Me the Money

The top earners in country music brought in a combined $370 million dollars in 2013. It makes you wonder what 2014 will bring!
  • Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw and Keith Urban Lead ACM Nominees

The Grammys were the source of seemingly half the music stories published this week, but that doesn't mean the music awards season is over. The nominations were just released for the Academy of Country Music Awards, and odds are the results will be a little different from those of the country genre at the Grammys. Topping the list for total nominations is Tim McGraw and Miranda Lambert, both up for seven prizes.
  • 2014 Kicker Country Stampede

Since 1995, the annual Kicker Country Stampede has been offering the best of country music's live acts to fans in the heart of America ... Kansas. Held on the last full weekend in June, the four day festival offers mulitple stages, interactive exhibits, a saloon for the adults, camping at Tuttle Creek State Park, great eats and plenty of fun for the whole family.
  • Frozen Tops Billboard 200, Dethrones Beyoncé and Holds of Eminem

Temperatures have been cold across the country, and so have album sales. Due to the end of the year and the low number of new releases that comes with it, the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 features a slew of familiar faces, but at least the door opened up for a few hits from throughout 2013 to make a reappearance.
  • Beyoncé Tops Billboard 200 for Second Week

The year is coming to a close, and that means you shouldn't expect too many new releases coming down the pipe. This week's Top 10 of the Billboard 200 didn't have any new entries, so expect to see some familiar names.
  • Luke Bryan and Eric Church Headlining Tortuga Music Festival

Country music tends to lyrically place itself into the geography of the South or the heartlands. It's no secret that country musicians enjoy the beach just as much as the rest of us however. Thus the lineup for the second Rock The Oceans Tortuga Music Festival in Ft. Lauderdale, FL is dominated by country performers. Two of the largest male names in the genre, Luke Bryan and Eric Church will serve as headliners.
  • One Direction Tops Black Friday Album Sales Race

We've been real downers for the last couple months with regards to album sales. If you haven't read the news, music sales are down across nearly every format (aside from vinyl), and this has reflected in new releases too, even with some of the biggest stars. What the industry needed was a good Black Friday to boost sales. And boost did it ever.
  • CMA Awards 2013 Recap

The 47th annual Country Music Association Awards took place tonight (Nov. 6) in Nashville. Celebrating the best of this year in country music and hosted by two of the genre's biggest stars (Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley), the CMA Awards were less about the trophies and speeches and more about the glitz, glamor and live music that rocked the country charts over the last 12 months.
  • Luke Bryan Announces Schedule for 2014 'That's My Kind of Night' Tour

Just like a plant needs sunlight to carry out photosynthesis and continue its survival, Luke Bryan seems to require constant touring, lest he withers up. The country star, whose Crash My Party has been selling well enough to afford him a break from touring, just announced his first tour of 2014. Bryan took a break from his "Dirt Road Diaries Tour" so that he could jump into his annual "Farm Tour" during early October, and once he wrapped that up he jumped right back into "Dirt Road Diaries."
  • CMT Names Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean and Three Others 'Artist of The Year.' Read Who and Help Us Narrow It Down

One problem with country music is that it doesn't deal with sparring very well. Nearly everything vaguely resembling a competition gets watered down so neither side looks bad. The genre's media was left in a bind following the war of words between Zac Brown followers and Luke Bryan followers after the former artist blasted the music of the latter. In the end, CMT and others did they're best not to make anyone look bad. So, it's not entirely surprising that five different performers will share this year's CMT Artist of The Year Award.
  • Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean and Eric Church to Headline Stagecoach Festival: Check Out Music Times' Picks

If you think that Indio Valley, CA. might not fit them theme for one of the year's biggest country music festivals, you might be right. But then again, it'd be wrong of us to deny country musicians access to the same Los Angeles-area weather that's inspired just about every other genre we know of. The Stagecoach Festival just announced its lineup for April 2014, and here's a quick summation of the acts that caught Music Times' eye:
