• Martin Garrix 'Now That I Found You' Review

    Martin Garrix just dropped the first release on his freshly minted label STMPD RCRDS (why no vowels Martin?!). Officially titled "Now That I've Found You" the big, melodic track features the vocals of John & Michel (the combination of Swedish super songwriters and singers John Martin and Michel Zitron, who have worked heavily with Swedish House Mafia among others).

    Martin Garrix has been discussing it for the past few months, but today he has officially launched his own label STMPD RCRDS. To inaugurate the label, he is releasing one of his most sought after IDs, the "Sziget ID," then given the fan title "Don't Crack Under Pressure" and now titled "Now That I've Found You" featuring John & Michel.

    The Indy 500 always has some acts who appeal to the Midwestern, beer-swilling, tailgating crowd and they have that this year, but in the past several they have opened up the infield on race day to a new area called the "Snake Pit" for a special EDM DJ show with some big DJs. This year it will be headlined by Skrillex and Martin Garrix, with DJ Mustard and Zeds Dead also performing. Their other performers the other days include Blake Shelton and Journey.

    Martin Garrix appears to be setting a worrying trend for his former label Spinnin' Records. Two other artists signed to the label and its management arm MusicAllStars Management have announced that they are also leaving. Dutchman and close friend of Martin Garrix, Julian Jordan is one of those to leave and Megaton Records founder Mike Hawkins is the second.

    Electric Daisy Carnival's British outpost, EDC UK, has announced its 2016 lineup. As one might expect from an Insomniac promoted Electric Daisy Carnival, there are some pretty big names who will be taking over the famous Milton Keynes Bowl this summer. The mainstage will be populated with the likes of Martin Garrix, Avicii, Axwell /\ Ingrosso and Eric Prydz.
  • Martin Garrix Calls Spinnin Records Statement "One Sided & Incorrect"

    The very, almost too public saga fight between Martin Garrix, Spinnin' Records and its artist management arm MusicAllStars Management has another chapter. After some chatter over the summer and into the winter, where it appeared as though the matter over the rights to the "Poison" DJ's music was being settled amicably, the suit turned for the worst when Spinnin' presented their side of the story just before the New Year. Now Garrix is coming back with yet another statement, calling the recent remarks by Spinnin' "to say the least - one sided and in any case incorrect in some respects."

    In August it appeared as though the saga between Martin Garrix and his former label and management group, Spinnin' Records and MusicAllStars Management respectively, had been settled. However in a new statement released by Spinnin' it appears there are still some serious differences between the two sides and their views on the contracts signed by the two parties.

    Dillon Francis and Martin Garrix have unveiled the quirky and odd music video for their 2014 collaboration "Set Me Free." The track was originally released as a promotional single for Dillon Francis' debut artist album Money Sucks, Friends Rule. In addition to the new video, the pair have also created a website that appears to have arrived from the strangest depths of the "Bun Up The Dance" producer's mind.
