Insomniac Events CEO Pasquale Rotella can breathe a sigh of relief. Over the past six years he has been fighting a slew of felony charges from the Los Angeles County District Attorney office. Slowly some of those charges had been dropped over the past few years, but late last week, the final batch of felony bribery, embezzlement and conspiracy charges were dropped by the DA.

Insomniac Canceling EDC Puerto Rico, Beyond Wonderland Bay Area In 2016But there is some good news too. Change is coming to Los Angeles EDM event brand Insomniac Events. As laid out in a lengthy letter to fans by founder and owner Pasquale Rotella, the company is looking to continue in the direction of expanding overseas, but has to pull back in other areas, canceling EDC Puerto Rico and Beyond Wonderland in the Bay Area.

Insomniac Events' Pasquale Rotella Urges LA County Not To Ban EDM EventsInsomniac Events Founder Pasquale Rotella has urged L.A. County authorities to not ban EDM events and festivals in the area. In an Instagram post, he outlined his reasons saying that it would be a mistake to send a cultural revolution back "into the unregulated underground" that the government banished it to back in the 1990s and early 2000s where the risks were much higher than they are today.

The book is slated for release next May and also has a movie deal with Fox.
