Unfortunately it was recently revealed that Cecily Strong will not be returning to her Weekend Update faux anchor chair and that she will instead be replaced by Michael Che, a Daily Show correspondent and SNL writer. -

The Replacements Perform "Alex Chilton" On 'Fallon,' 28 Years After Being Banned From 'SNL' [WATCH]
On last night's (Sept. 9) episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, legendary alternative rock band the Replacements made their first television appearance in over 25 years, performing their classic song "Alex Chilton" from their 1987 album Pleased To Meet Me. It's also the band's first time back to 30 Rockefeller Plaza after being banned from Saturday Night Live after a characteristically drunk and sloppy performance on that show back in 1986.
