  • 'Saturday Night Live' Season 40 Will Open with Musical Guests Ariana Grande, Maroon 5

    Saturday Night Live will have a bit of a "Problem" for its upcoming season 40 premiere. After much speculation and rumors, the first round of musical guests for the late night NBC program were announced today (Sept. 10), featuring some of the biggest names in pop music with fall releases.

    On last night's (Sept. 9) episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, legendary alternative rock band the Replacements made their first television appearance in over 25 years, performing their classic song "Alex Chilton" from their 1987 album Pleased To Meet Me. It's also the band's first time back to 30 Rockefeller Plaza after being banned from Saturday Night Live after a characteristically drunk and sloppy performance on that show back in 1986.
