• Grimes signs management deal with Jay Z's Roc Nation label

    Grimes (born Claire Boucher) announced yesterday through a picture she posted on Tumblr that she had signed a management deal to Jay Z's Roc National label. The image featured her throwing up the Roc diamond. The entertainment company has signed artists including Haim, M.I.A., Rihanna, Matthew Dear, Shakira, Kylie Minogue and Timbaland.

European Union copyright laws stipulate that the band and their label may own the recordings for a total of 70 years only if officially published, according to the article.
