    The "Beat This Winter" tour, named in reference to the country star's 2013 single "Beat This Summer," will include 13 dates in the United States. Paisley last released an album in April, with Wheelhouse, but his Summer and Fall tour dates must've gone well enough to justify a third leg.

    December is a huge month for Britney Spears. E! will air a 90-minute TV special on Britney Spears called I Am Britney Jean on Sunday December 22 and 8 p.m with an encore following at 9:30 p.m.

  • Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles decides to go out on her own next year

    Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles will be debuting her first solo project this coming January with her own album, That Girl. Nettles wrote much of her own material but also worked with songwriters such as Sara Bareilles, Butch Walker and Richard Marx. The new album was recorded in Malibu, California at producer Rick Rubin's famed spot, Shangri-La Studios, where other artists like Bob Dylan and Eric Clapton have worked with Rubin.
  • Tiësto, Phoenix, Matt & Kim to play X Games Aspen 2014

    X Games Aspen 2014 has an impressive lineup of music acts including world-renowned DJ Tiësto and dance icon/producer Axwell. Bands Phoenix and Matt & Kim will perform the day prior on Saturday January 25th. Ticket sales will support The V Foundation for Cancer Research.

    A table once owned by Ian Curtis of Joy Division went to auction and today is the final bidding day. Currently the bid has reached £8,200.00. Tel Harrop is the one selling the table, a longtime collector of Joy Division memorabilia. Curtis' family and other bandmates are not happy with the sale of the table and have shared their upset.

    Kevin Howlett, a man heavily involved with The Beatles' back catalogue, says he has a "top secret" project going on with the band's music.
  • Lily Allen defends the presence of her dancers in the video for "Hard Out Here"

    It seems that it's hard for some pop artists to find the right balance between pushing the limits and taking it too far (assuming some of that isn't just hunger for publicity). Lily Allen is the one now defending some of the choices she made with her dancers in the newly released video for "Hard Out Here," the most recent track from the artist since 2009.
  • Don Cheadle to play Miles Davis in upcoming biopic 'Kill the Trumpet Player'

    The Associated Press announced today that Don Cheadle will play jazz pioneer Miles Davis in an long-planned, upcoming biopic called Kill the Trumpet Player. Cheadle, who will also be making his directorial debut for the film, and Steven Baigelman wrote the script. Cheadle has been trying to make the film for years, and production is finally set to begin in June.

    Donald Glover (a.k.a. Childish Gambino) stopped by Arsenio Hall last night to chat and perform "Shadows" off his upcoming album Because The Internet.
