British house producers David Newsum and Scott Forshaw, better known here as Somn3um, have teamed up with singer-songwriter Mickey Shiloh, who has worked with the likes of Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez and others, on a new single titled "Insane."

The song, which seems to capture the way many feel about the United States right now, arrives on the DJ duo's own Som'thing Records.

It starts out with a sturdy four-on-the-floor beat. Then Shiloh's distorted vocals ease into the track over synth chords that have a distinctly 1990s feel to them. All of the elements together with Shiloh's vocals, which get chopped and repeated in the hook, give it a hypnotic feel.

The song was recorded over the summer and feels like it could play out during a summer pool party or remains indoors to rock a club dance floor.

"We're so thrilled to be unleashing 'Insane' which we recorded over the summer in Dubai," says Somn3um to Music Times in a statement. "It's one of our best tracks to date, and the title pretty much sums up how 2016 has been for us so far, with the launch of our label and our first few releases. There's plenty more to come so stay tuned!"

Somn3um is the pairing of two British DJs, David Newsum and Scott Forshaw. Newsum got his start as a trance DJ before switching over to house as a part of Somn3um, while Forshaw has kept things with a mix of bass, house and '90s influenced garage.
