Car Playing Vengaboys Creates Massive Dance Party In Streets Of England
Vengaboys are the Dutch dance group that was formed in 1996 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. The group consists of producers Wessel van Diepen and Dennis van den Driesschen, as well as lead vocalist Kim Sasabone, vocalist Denise Post-Van Rijswijk and male vocalists Robin Pors and Donny Latupeirissa.
Three years after the group formed, they released one of their most iconic and recognizable songs ever with "Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!!" And the single had quite an epic release as it debuted as the number one spot on the UK Singles Chart! But enough of the history lesson, and let's focus on today's story.
This past weekend, a group of friends from the Gloucestershire county in South West England decided to that they needed a good night out. So the friends organized a massive spontaneous dance party Sunday night through the town of Cheltenham in Gloucestershire. And the best thing about this was that the group of friends decided to live stream the whole party on Facebook!
All was well but then when the five cars with speakers attached to their roofs drove around the streets of Cheltenham started to blast Vengaboys' classic anthem "Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!!" absolute magic started to happen. It starts out so innocent with a few people that they pass by signing along or trying to dance as they drive.
And then out of seemingly nowhere, a massive dance party started to begin and then absolute madness ensued with people dancing everywhere, including on top of the cars themselves! This video is absolutely perfect as it truly shows how amazing the power of music can be on our society. Hopefully many more fun-thinking people will take note of this and we will see more spontaneous dance parties in the near future!
