Fans were saddened when Rage Against the Machine announced their disbandment, but it appears that one of the members is still clueless up to this date because when he was asked about the situation, he didn't give a clear answer.

Bassist Tim Commerford recently spoke with Rolling Stone when he was asked about what happened with the band.

Last month, Rage Against the Machine announced their disbandment, but the public statement was only signed by one member instead of them collectively.

"There's four people in the band... I'm just one quarter of Rage. I've spent the last two years healing. And there's four people that all are living," he added.

He added that Brad Wilk just had his baby and Zach de la Rocha ruptured his Achilles tendon.

When asked about his thoughts on whether the band is over, he simply answered: "I don't know," he says. "I don't get involved in that. I'm the bass player. I just wait for someone to tell me what to do."

He added that he's only a bass player and those who are in the same position as him are always the last ones who find out about something big.

Rage Against the Machine Disbandment

According to Consequence, January 2024 was a hard month for fans of Rage Against the Machine as drummer Brad Wilk announced that the band will not go on tour or ever play again and it seemed like the end of the group.

Beginning his post, Wilk said people have been waiting for the group to announce new tour dates for their canceled shows, but he didn't want to "string people" along any further.

He then apologized to their supporters about the situation.

Tim Commerford Updates

In the same interview, the musician gave an update about his health condition after he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2020.

He revealed that his numbers are currently in zero at the moment, but he gets tested every three months.

Regarding his thoughts about the band's future, it appeared that he still wanted to perform with his bandmates.
