Electronic duo Darkside played their final show in Brooklyn last night (Sept. 13) before the pair headed into a hiatus.

According to Stereogum, the group performed in front of a sold out crowd at the Brooklyn Masonic Temple. The video below may only be a little longer than three minutes, but if it's any indication as to how the show went then some minds were certainly blown. As Music Times reported last month, Darkside, which includes Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington, announced that they would be, at the very least, taking some time off. "Hello everyone, Nico and Dave here," they tweeted. "DARKSIDE is coming to an end, for now. On September 12th, we will be playing our last show at Brooklyn Masonic Temple."

As a parting gift, the group dropped two final tracks titled "What They Say" and "Gone Too Soon." It's an unfortunate split, seeing how Darkside had only a few releases to their credit, including their self-titled EP in 2011 and debut album, Psychic, last year. The album, released via Matador, received a 9 rating from Pitchfork. "Upon initially hearing it, one could easily think of Daftside as an academic work rather than something meant for listening pleasure - a foment of the bubbling resentment towards the original's Gatsby-esque confluence of ostentatious extravagance and genuine, if self-serving, benevolence; it was a hell of a party that left a lot of up-and-coming producers feeling like they were locked out of East Egg," the review read.

"Surprising myself helps me be creative," Jaar told Pitchfork in an earlier interview. "I said to myself, 'I'm just going to go and make a fucking rock-and-roll record because it fits right now where I am.' It was a huge motivation."

No explanation has been given about the band's decision to take a break.
