In mainstream pop culture, the summer of 2014 has largely been declared the "era of the booty." Even though the hottest season coming to a close, that doesn't mean that the heat has to get turned down. Yesterday (Sept. 18), Jennifer Lopez and Iggy Azalea teamed up to release their asset-filled music video for JLo's latest single "Booty."
And, what do you know? It features just a lot of close ups of JLo and Azalea's butts. There they are, shaking. And there they are again, rubbing up against each other. Oh, and there's those butts once again, getting caressed by their owners' hands.
The era of the booty, indeed.
Beyond showing off the sexy bodies of Lopez and Azalea, there's very little concept or plot to the "Booty" music video. And, really, does there have to be? There are booties, and the song's major refrain just repeats "Big, big booty / Cause she got a big booty," and the song itself is just an ode to all those sexy ladies with a little something-something going on behind.
The music video braces the audience for "maximum impact" right out the gate, and it's clear to see why. This is maximum booty.

"Booty is the latest single from Jennifer Lopez's new album A.K.A. Originally featuring Pitbull, the song's remix with Azalea was released last month. A.K.A. has previously been supported by singles "I Luh Ya Papi" and "First Love."
