Fergie is prepping to offer up some love to her hometown, Los Angeles and is set to release a new solo single next week. The former Black Eyed Peas singer officially announced her new single "L.A. Love (La La)" over the weekend, after rumors circulated will be releasing her second solo album in 2015.

On Saturday (Sept. 20), Fergie announced that "L.A. Love (La La)" will be arriving on Monday, Sept. 29 in an Instagram post.

A simple white background and black typography made the declaration that "L.A. Love" is due in one week. Check out the post below:

The new single news follows rumors about new Fergie music and teasing Instagram and Twitter posts, where the "London Bridge" singer asked her fans to throw up "LA" hand signs, photos of themselves "repping" their country or photos of them together, presumably for the "L.A. Love (La La)" lyric video.

"L.A. Love," which is set to be released on Sept. 29, will be Fergie's first solo single since her 2013 track "A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (All We Got)" from The Great Gatsby soundtrack.

The new single also follows many rumors that Fergie will be releasing a new solo album next year. She seemingly confirmed the news herself on Chelsea Lately, saying that she'd been spending a lot of time in the recording studio. Furthermore, industry sources have stated that Fergie has been working on a new album with hitmaker Mike WiLL Made It. Will notably worked on Miley Cyrus' comeback album and career reinvention, Bangerz.

Fergie's new solo album will be her first full LP in eight years. Her last solo album, The Dutchess, was released in 2006. It spawned the top singles "London Bridge," "Fergalicious," "Glamorous," "Big Girls Don't Cry" and "Clumsy."
