It's been eight long years since the release of Fergie's spunky debut solo album The Dutchess. But even after all that time, two albums with the Black Eyed Peas and massive changes in the music industry, the "Glamorous" singer is looking to make a new solo comeback.

In a new interview with media mogul Ryan Seacrest (via TheGrapeJuice.net), Fergie revealed her solo plans in the midst of talking about a new Black Eyed Peas album.

"I'm signed to his imprint on Interscope, I Am Music, so I think he knows I want to do a solo album next," Fergie said about her musical relationship with will.i.am.

She noted that for the past several year, she's been in a "cave," analyzing modern pop music, older pop music and her own career. But, this is something she has done before.

"The Dutchess was comprised of songs from a seven-year period; a lot of people don't know that. I've been writing down my ideas, I've been in my little cave, my creative cave, and the ideas come when they come," she said. "So, when I do come out with my album, I'm going to be really proud of it."

Following Fergie's solo album, the singer also hinted at a Black Eyed Peas reunion.

Fergie's second solo album is likely not to drop for some time, but it won't be the first thing fans have heard from her by herself in recent years. Last summer, Fergie released "A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (All We Got)" as a part of The Great Gatsby soundtrack.
