BTS the Comeback Live: Netflix Announces Global Streaming of K-Pop Mega Concert in March

BTS reunites for their first full-group comeback concert at Gwanghwamun Square on March 21, livestreaming globally on Netflix to over 190 countries worldwide.

BTS will perform their first full-group comeback concert in nearly four years at Seoul's historic Gwanghwamun Square on March 21, with Netflix streaming the performance live to more than 190 countries worldwide.

Netflix and BTS's agency HYBE officially announced the partnership on February 3, marking a historic moment for the streaming platform. This will be the first major live event originating from South Korea to be broadcast globally via Netflix.

The concert, titled "BTS the Comeback Live | Arirang," will stream at 8 p.m. Korea Standard Time (4 a.m. PT / 7 a.m. ET), allowing fans across different time zones to watch in real time.

The performance takes place one day after BTS releases their fifth studio album, "Arirang," on March 20. Fans can expect to hear debut live performances of songs from the new album alongside beloved hits from the group's extensive catalog, according to Bloomberg.

The concert will be approximately one hour long and is designed as a one-time-only event, making it a unique opportunity for the global fanbase.

Gwanghwamun, the main gate of Gyeongbokgung Palace, is a culturally significant venue established in 1395. The decision to hold the comeback concert at this iconic location emphasizes the importance of BTS's return.

This comeback marks a symbolic moment for the seven-member group after all members completed their mandatory military service requirements in South Korea.

BTS has not performed together as a complete group since 2022, when the band announced their hiatus to focus on individual projects while members fulfilled their military obligations.

Now, the members are returning transformed by their time apart and personal growth. Their absence from the stage created significant anticipation within their fanbase, known as ARMY, weverse reported.

Netflix's involvement in streaming the concert is part of the platform's broader expansion into live programming. All Netflix subscribers worldwide can watch the concert at no additional cost.

This accessibility ensures that millions of fans who cannot attend in person will still have the opportunity to witness the historic performance.

Following the live concert, Netflix will continue its BTS coverage by releasing the documentary "BTS: The Return" on March 27. Directed by Bao Nguyen, known for "The Greatest Night in Pop," the documentary chronicles the making of the "Arirang" album and captures the group's reunion in Los Angeles.

The film offers insight into how the members came together creatively after their break and explores how their experiences during military service have shaped them as artists, as per Variety.

The comeback concert is just the beginning of BTS's extensive plans for 2026. The group has announced the Arirang World Tour, which will include 82 shows across 34 regions, beginning in April in South Korea.

Tour dates span from April 2026 through 2027, taking the group to major cities worldwide, including Tokyo, London, Los Angeles, and many others. This extensive tour demonstrates the ongoing demand for BTS performances globally.
