Hilary Duff is stepping into a new chapter of her career with a stronger sense of confidence and self-love as she prepares for her upcoming Lucky Me Tour. Speaking backstage with Billboard's Tetris Kelly during a recent Las Vegas concert, the singer and actress shared how her outlook on life has changed over the years.
Duff, who recently announced that Aperol Spritz will sponsor her tour, said she is now more focused on becoming comfortable with herself instead of trying to impress others.
"If I were to toast to one thing, it would be toasting to becoming like more of yourself instead of becoming more impressive," Duff said. "We're in our body, we're fine with who we are, doing great, we're proud of ourselves."
According to Billboard, the 38-year-old star explained that while she still pushes herself to grow, she no longer wants success to come at the cost of exhaustion.
"We're always reaching for more but not reaching too far where we're overextending and exhausted," she added. "We're just happy!"
Duff's positive mindset comes during a busy and exciting moment in her career. Earlier this year, she released Luck ... or Something, her first album in 10 years. The project quickly became a success, reaching No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart. Now, she is preparing to launch one of the biggest tours of her career when the Lucky Me Tour begins in June.

Hilary Duff Embraces Growth Ahead of Tour
As part of her partnership with Aperol, special "Aperol Spritz Day Club" experiences will be offered before select tour stops. Fans will also be able to join events at nearby restaurants and bars connected to the tour.
Duff shared a personal picture of what her perfect spritz moment looks like. She described sitting at a sidewalk café in New York City with close friends while spring flowers bloom and people fill the streets again after winter.
"It's warm in their bones again," she said, painting a cozy and relaxed scene that matches the mood of her latest music era. She also pointed to her song "Adult Size Medium" as the track that best captures that feeling. In the song, Duff sings about blurry but emotional memories tied to wine and Aperol, Yahoo reported.
Even with years of experience in music and television, Duff admitted she feels different this time around. She said returning to touring after her Las Vegas mini-residency has been emotional because fans continue to support her growth.
"When I think about this era, for me it took a lot of guts," Duff shared. "I'm such a different version of myself than I was back then, so it's really magical to do this again."
